Virtual Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Group

Healing from trauma, PTSD, or C-PTSD can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a research-backed treatment that helps individuals break free from harmful thought patterns caused by trauma and start living more empowered, fulfilling lives.

What is CPT?
CPT is designed to help you understand how trauma impacts your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By reframing unhelpful beliefs and challenging negative patterns, CPT helps you heal and move forward.

In Group CPT, you’ll learn to:
✅ Identify and challenge harmful thoughts like guilt, shame, and fear.
✅ Understand how trauma shapes your beliefs about yourself, others, and the world.
✅ Replace unhelpful beliefs with healthier, more supportive ones.
✅ Explore how trauma impacts your sense of safety, trust, power, esteem, and intimacy.

Getting Started

1

Intake & Impact Statement

In your intake session, we'll review your traumatic experience and you will be assigned to write your impact statement, an important part of Cognitive Processing Therapy. We will also go over group expectations and rules, ensuring you feel safe, prepared, and fully supported before starting the group.

2

Second Individual Session

In this session, you'll read your impact statement, and you'll be provided personalized guidance based on your specific needs. This session is designed to help you build a strong foundation for your group experience, ensuring you're ready to move forward with confidence.

3

Group Sessions

Once you're prepared, you'll join your CPT group, connecting with others who are on a similar healing journey. Over 12 weekly sessions, you’ll engage in deeper healing, learn to reframe your thoughts, improve emotional regulation, and reduce the lasting effects of trauma.
